Texas Governor Greg Abbott and his administration utilized Texas state resources to transport over 21,600 individuals from foreign nations to several cities governed by Democrats, starting from the initial bus load in April 2022.

Since the beginning of Project Lonestar last year, Governor Abbott initiated the process of relocating migrants from Texas, initially choosing to deliver them near the Capitol in Washington.

Subsequently, he expanded the scope of his efforts by including prominent cities such as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Denver among his designated destinations.

Democratic members in Texas have always quantified the border control proclamation called "Operation Lone Star" as a "publicity stunt" by the Republicans to attempt to win more votes, reports have alluded.

The move was heavily described as another ticket by the Republications to try to get Governor Abbott re-elected for the third time, and maybe it worked because the Governor bagged a third-term.

When signing the border control proclamation into power, the Governor justified the measure as necessary to prevent the crossing of drugs and undocumented migrants.

He said the reason behind this move was because "the Biden administration wasn't doing its job on the border," and he has since remained firm on this move.

As an integral component of Governor Abbott's initiative to make "sanctuary cities" experience the repercussions of the ongoing border surge, Texas facilitated the transportation of its recent group of migrants to Los Angeles.

This Republican governor confirmed that the migrants were delivered to Union Station in Los Angeles, California, and said LA is a major city that migrants want to go to.
