A report by a new book has alleged that President Biden does not fully trust some members of the Secret Service. This is said to be as a result of their handling of the January 6 events, how some of them are allegedly strong supporters and lovers of former President Trump.
According to a new book, United States President Joe Biden does not trust all the people who work for the Secret Service, and he also does not discuss sensitive topics in front of the Secret Service
The book went on to claim that this is due to the fact that many of the Secretive Service members are strong supporters of former United States President Donald Trump.
A manuscript titled "The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden's White House" by Chris Whipple, President Biden's trust issues with certain agents are because some agents are staunch supporters of the previous president.
The president's relationship with these agents is described in detail in the book, and one of the things that got addressed was an indent involving his dog that bit someone from the Secret Service.
Whipple wrote, according to a copy of the book obtained by The Hill:
A bigger problem was Biden's discomfort with his Secret Service detail; some of them were MAGA sympathizers. He didn't trust them".
Whipple wrote that the Secret Service is "full of white ex-cops from the South who tend to be deeply conservative" and that Biden's detail as president is significantly larger than it was when he was the vice president.
Additionally, many agents are alleged to be "MAGA sympathizers". And there are speculations regarding the manner in which the Secret Service managed intelligence prior to the uprising.
After Trump attempted to politicize the Secret Service and made Tony Ornato deputy White House chief of staff for operations, the response of the Secret Service to the attack on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, added to President Biden's concerns about the state of national security.
The President felt that the "Secret Service had looked both incompetent and politicized" when the events of January 6 took place.
