I prefer to use Jimmy Deans's Sausage for my dip. The prep time is typically 10 minutes, and the cooking time is 15 minutes. Usually makes 5-1/4 cups of 42 servings.
The recipe for my mild sausage dip is listed below:
1 pkg. Jimmy Dean Country Mild Pork Sausage Roll
1 can (1-3/4 ounces) condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 Can (10 Ounces) diced tomatoes green chilies
1 pkg. (8 ounces) cream cheese cubed
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions chopped
Tortilla Chips lightly salted Restaurant Style
Cook sausage in a large saucepan over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until the sausage is brown. Drain sausage and return to saucepan.
Add all remaining ingredients to the saucepan and stir frequently. Cook over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Then reduce the heat, and let it sit for additional 3 minutes. I notice the dip gets thicker when I let it sit for a few minutes.
