Tyscot Records is looking to award one talented artist or group with a national recording contract.

Founder of Tyscot Records Bishop Leonard Scott has launched a national singing competition. Bishop Scott is currently serving as Chairman of the oldest Black-owned record label in the United States. In honor of his latest project “Keep Hymns Alive”, Tyscot Records is looking for artists, gospel groups, and choirs to participate in The Keep Hymns Alive National Competition. Bishop Scott is planning on touring the country in 2022. The regional competition could come to your city if there are enough submissions in North Carolina.

Bishop Scott is looking for an artist or group who has the “IT Factor” when it comes to singing and overall performance. The winner of this competition will be awarded a national recording contract with Tyscot Records. If you are an independent artist looking to have support from a major record label that has been in the Entertainment Industry for over 45 years you do not want to miss this opportunity. Tyscot Records is an independent American gospel music record label based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tyscot Records was founded by Craig Tyson and Dr. Leonard Scott in 1976 in to record their church choir, Christ Church Apostolic Radio Choir. It now stands as the oldest black-owned gospel recording label in the nation.

Currently, the Tyscot Record Label Roster consists of Anthony Brown and Group Therapy, Bishop Morton and Full Gospel Ministry, Briana Babineaux, Adriann Lewis-Freeman, Casey J, Cheryl Fortune, Jason Clayborn, John P Kee, Kelontae Gavin, PJ Morton Presents, Rance Allen, Ruth La’Ontra, The Tommies Reunion, and VaShawn Mitchell.
