Bishop Leonard Scott Prepares to Release His New Album

The phrase “Living Legend” is a summary to explain how much Bishop Scott has contributed to the Gospel Entertainment Industry. Bishop Leonard Scott is the Founder and Chairman of Tyscot Records. Tyscot Records is the oldest black gospel music record label in the world. They have been releasing music for 45 years.

Bishop Scott is more than just the Founder of a major record label. He is a Gospel Artist, Author, Father, and a Retired Dentist. Everyone is invited Join Bishop Leonard Scott tonight at 7 PM for a major announcement ! He will also play new music from the soon upcoming album, "KEEP HYMNS ALIVE".

Background History of Bishop Scott

From humble beginnings in 1976, Tyscot Records has developed into a leading Gospel label and a highly recognized and respected African-American business, all under the leadership of Bishop Leonard Scott with the late Pastor Craig Tyson.  Originally financed by Bishop Scott's salary as a practicing dentist and designed to record a church choir from Pastor Tyson's father's church, Tyscot was at first not taken seriously by the Gospel music industry.  But a pivotal moment came when a pastor from a church in Cleveland, Ohio - Rev. Bill Sawyer - trusted Tyscot to take over the distribution for his Christian Tabernacle Choir's live recording, Something Old, Something New.  

The true turning point for Tyscot was when during that time a talented yet soon-to-be contemporary gospel groundbreaker joined the label.  "We picked up a demo tape from a young man from North Carolina who became the number one artist in America and his name was the Reverend John P. Kee," states Bishop Scott.  Since then, several other notable acts have joined the Tyscot family including Deitrick Haddon & Voices of Unity (V.O.U.), Lamar Campbell, Lucinda Moore, The Rance Allen Group, and Ann Nesby.  

Currently, the Tyscot Record Label Roster consists of Anthony Brown and Group Therapy, Bishop Morton and Full Gospel Ministry, Bri (Briana Babineaux), Adriann Lewis-Freeman, Casey J, Cheryl Fortune, Jason Clayborn, John P Kee, Kelontae Gavin, PJ Morton Presents, Rance Allen, Ruth La’Ontra, The Tommies Reunion, and VaShawn Mitchell.

Vehicle Break-Ins Are On The Rise in Greenville

Neighborhoods along Evans Street & Old Tar Road are being targeted for vehicle break-ins. Has anyone noticed the trend that is going on in Greenville, NC? There has been a string of vehicle break-ins between the hours of 11:30 PM to 4:00 AM according to neighborhood security cameras. The communities the thieves are targeting are located around Evans Street, Old Tar Road, Keys Court, and Westhaven Park. According to Ring Security Camera, two vehicles were broken into in the Irish Creek Subdivision. On June 22, two to four vehicles were reported broken into near Keys Court Community. On June 9th, several vehicles were reported broken into at the Blue Ridge Apartment Complex.

Will North Carolinians Receive a Gas Rebate Check Soon?

More Than 12,000 NC Student Loan Borrowers are Getting their Loan Cancelled

Over 12,000 NC student loan borrowers from the Corinthian College have a good reason to be overwhelmed with joy. North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein released the following statement last week after the U.S. Department of Education announced it would cancel all remaining federal student loans for students who attended any college run by Corinthian Colleges. In North Carolina, 12,470 borrowers will receive a total of $142.1 million in loan relief. Across the United States a total of 560,000 borrowers will receive $5.8 billion in relief.
