These are certainly precedent times we are living in. From the war between Ukraine and Russia, Food and Gas prices continues to rise, and we are still dealing with a Pandemic. Although the Federal Government has not approve a monthly stimulus check, some states are about to send a fourth check to households to help struggling families with the effects caused by inflation.

So far, five state governments have already approved the proposal to send a new stimulus check against inflation: Idaho, Georgia, Indiana, New Jersey and New Mexico. Currently, California, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota and New York, the proposal is under consideration.

Governor Newsom Proposes $11 Billion Relief Package for Californians Facing Higher Gas Prices. His package consists of Registered vehicle owners in California will be eligible for at least $400 per vehicle, totaling $9 billion in direct payments to millions of Californians.

Each state will be offering a different stimulus check. For example, Recently Governor Brad Little signed a bill to provide $350 million for tax refunds to Idaho residents. In Georgia some individuals who have filed their 2021 and 2022 tax returns will receive refunds ranging from $250 for single filers to $500 for joint filers.

For Indiana taxpayers who are compliant with their last year's return may receive a one-time refund of $125. New Jersey, is offering one-time refunds of up to $500 will be sent to nearly one million eligible households.

The million dollar question is will the state of North Carolina approve a stimulus check for its residents? Currently, North Carolina gas average is $3.826 for Regular Grade. Inflation is also affecting North Carolina residents, so why there hasn’t been a lot of discussion about granting a state wide stimulus check.
