A Virtual Office is more feasible for a new business owner to maintain rather than getting a traditional office space.

If you are a new small business owner, you may have noticed there is not a large selection of office spaces available in Greenville that can fit your budget. Some business owners are not able to pay an additional $275 to $400 a month for office space. Especially, if you have recently started your business. Greenville is currently experiencing development growth. You can drive around the city of Greenville, and Winterville and witness a record number of new homes under construction, new townhomes are being built, as well as new development is underway located off of Regency Street.

It was recently announced a 19-acre new urban hub, will be located in Uptown Greenville near East Carolina University’s campus. Intersect East will have 16 buildings that will hold offices, residences, restaurants, a large municipal park, and research space for nearby ECU.

With all of this new development and renovations going on in Greenville, why are there no Virtual Offices being offered in Greenville? As many larger cities saw a reduction in residents last year, some smaller cities saw an increase in new residents. According to data compiled by moving app and software company Updater and reported by the Triangle Business Journal, Greenville, North Carolina experienced the most inbound growth year-round in 2020, and again in 2021.

I recently researched the following companies to see if a Virtual Office was available in Greenville, NC. Companies such as Regis, Davinci, Opus, and Alliance showed a Virtual Office was not available. Virtual Offices are typically available in every major town and city worldwide, so you can represent your business professionally and maximize every opportunity.

Studies showed most entrepreneurs start their business in the home, but will rather use a different address for their business. A Virtual Office is more feasible for a new business owner to maintain rather than getting a traditional office space. A virtual office typically costs anywhere from $49.00 to $100 a month depending on what city it is located in. Also, the pandemic causes many business owners to work from home rather than in Co-working spaces.

Since Greenville is the home of heavyweights like Vidant Medical Center and East Carolina University. More young professionals will become more attractive to Greenville, NC when the 19-acre urban hub is complete. The question is when will the City of Greenville offer more options for small business owners other than getting a PO Box from the Post Office for their company.
