The 5th Annual (Soar Awards) will be convening on MARCH 7, 2022 In Rockford, IL. Each year Founder Justin Djuane Francis host anywhere from 1,800 to 2,500 attendees and it continues to grow. The Soar Awards have featured special tributes from Beyonce and performances from Jonathan McReynolds, Jekalyn Carr, VaShawn Mitchell, Vickie Winans, LeAndria Johnson, J. Moss, Dr. Matthew Stevenson, Kim Burrell and honored Tasha Cobb Leonard, Michelle Williams, The Clark Sisters, Hezekiah Walker, and Tamela Mann. This past year they have honored multiple Award winners Mary Mary and Ty Tribbett and featured Tamela Mann & Tasha Cobbs Leonard.

We have received proclamations from both state and city officials for this historic event. Soar Radio is the First Gospel Internet Station to be monitored by Nielsen BDS and the winner of 2 Stellar Awards. In 2021, the Soar Awards was canceled due to COVID-19 Pandemic. On Friday, President Biden extended the U.S. National Emergency due to COVID-19 Health Risk. The Soar Awards will be an in-person event with precautionary measures in place for attendees. This year you can attend the Soar Awards virtually for anyone who are not able to attend the live show. I had the opportunity to talk with Soar Awards Founder Justin Djuane Francis about his star-studded event.

Veronica Charnell: Being the CEO of a National Award Show Carrie’s a lot of responsibility. Why did you decide to start the Soar Awards?

Justin Djuane Francis: The Soar Awards came from my passion for music and honoring those in the industry and wanted to merge both major and independent artists and create another platform.

Veronica Charnell: The Soar Awards was canceled last year due to COVID-19. What precautionary measures will you have in place at the award show this year?

Justin Djuane Francis: We will have masks available upon entry as well as sanitizing stations. We also reduced the crowd size in half to allow social distancing.

Veronica Charnell: Will there be any surprises at the Soar Awards this year?

Justin Djuane Francis: Yes lots of surprises and big moments.

Veronica Charnell: Soar Awards will be moving to different cities starting in 2023. What made you decide to move the award show out of Rockford, IL?

Justin Djuane Francis: Instead of looking at it is at a move we wanted to travel with the Award show and take it on a journey across the world.

TransUnion Ordered To Pay $15 Million to Consumers For Inaccurate Reporting

Credit reporting agency TransUnion, and its TURSS subsidiary will pay $15 million to settle charges they failed to ensure the accuracy of tenant screening reports, according to a Thursday statement from the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC, this is the largest amount ever recovered in an FTC tenant screening case. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau joined the FTC in obtaining the settlement with TransUnion. They said by including inaccurate and incomplete eviction records about consumers, their ability to obtain housing was hampered.

Wells Fargo $5 Billion Investor Settlement

Wells Fargo will pay $1 billion to settle an investor lawsuit tied to authorized customer accounts. The settlement was approved last week by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Rochon and brings the amount the banking giant has agreed to pay in connection with its “fake accounts” scandal to close to $5 billion, Bloomberg News reported. Wells Fargo declined to comment beyond a statement the bank issued earlier this year:“This agreement resolves a consolidated securities class action lawsuit involving the company and several former executives and a director, who have not been with the company for several years. While we disagree with the allegations in this case, we are pleased to have resolved this matter ". A report stated the settlement comes from a 2020 suit that alleged former Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan and other executives misled investors, the media, and Congress by painting a too-rosy picture of Wells Fargo’s dealings with regulators in the scandal.

If you are following Beyoncé company Parkwood on Instagram you have already seen the different creative styles from city to city on display. Parkwood Entertainment is a production, management, and entertainment company founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour is now the highest-grossing tour by a female artist in history, earning $461.2 million so far, according to Touring Data. Her Renaissance Tour is expected to make more than $2 billion by October 2023, according to an estimate by Forbes.
