Looking for your next brunch restaurant with the girls or for a date? Check out Cracked and Battered for delicious chicken and waffles. They have two locations in the city which are in the Marina or Potrero Hill. Each location is very busy and tends to have long lines during brunch time so make sure to come early and plan. I usually go to the Potrero Hill location so my article will be focusing there. There is plenty of street parking located around Cracked & Battered although it can be difficult to find a spot during the weekends. The pricing on the menu is pretty average for brunch in the city since you are looking at about $12 - $18 per dish. However, the portions are huge and you will be sure to have leftovers while having a happy and full belly,

If chicken and waffles are not your types of dish, there are also other items like their house specials which are nasi goreng and shakshuka for a vegetarian option. I was surprised to see Nasi Goreng here since this is an Indonesian dish. Nasi Goreng is Indonesian fried rice and they top it with a fried egg and a side of their famous fried chicken. I ordered this and it was delicious and hearty. The fried egg is the perfect sunny side up and the rice is flavorful. The main star of the dish is the chicken since they use chicken thighs so the outside is crispy but the inside is juicy and tender. Paired together with the fried rice, this was the ultimate brunch dish. I also got to try the classic chicken and waffles which have two juicy pieces of fried chicken with a crispy Belgian waffle. It comes with a huge slab of butter and syrup on the side. I can see why this is their most popular dish because the waffle was fluffy while the chicken was crispy so there is a lot of texture in each bite. If you have been craving chicken and waffles, you have to try them since they have one of the best dishes in the Bay Area.

Cracked & Battered is a must if you are looking for your next brunch spot to check out. Have you been here before and if so, how was your experience? Leave them in the comments below!
