You can expect live musical performances by Jazz House Kids and Vanguard Theater Company. Jazz House Kids has been apart of the Montclair community for 18 years now and is the only community arts organization in New Jersey exclusively dedicated to educating children through jazz. They will be performing at 12pm. Vanguard Theater was founded in 2015 and has been serving the creative arts community through Diversity, reciprocity, education, activism and mentorship. Their performance is scheduled for 2pm.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be making an appearance from 12pm to 4pm. You'll be able to find them under the red Montclair Center BID tent.

Small Business Saturday was founded with the belief that when residents come together to support the local restaurants, retail stores, and businesses in their town they are in turn also supporting the greater good of their community. Shop small encourages shoppers to avoid malls and other big retail giants while buying gifts around the holiday season by offering store sales, raffles, and giveaways.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, shopping local becomes even more important. Last year, business saw a sharp decrease in business due to mandatory store closures. Nearly 30 businesses have had to close in Montclair because of this. Shop local gives businesses a general sense of belonging and a way to connect on a deeper level with residents than they'd be able to at bigger chain stores.
