The Most Instagramable Restaurants in the Lower East Side

Vanessa Vanacore

The Lower East Side is known as one of Manhattan’s coolest and youngest neighborhoods, packed with bars and rooftop clubs.

Since covid this neighborhood has definitely gotten a little quieter but that hasn’t stopped restaurants from keeping their aesthetic and ambiance alive.

Head to these places if you’re looking to take some serious insta worthy shots.

Short Stories 355 Bowery, New York, NY 10003

Although this spot is temporarily closed, we have high hopes they’ll open up again soon. According to their instagram it shouldn’t be long until they’re back serving up some fun. This bar/ restaurant has the coolest vibes so put this on your list of places to definitely head to this summer. Fingers crossed!

Gelso and Grand 325 Bowery, New York, NY 10003

Serving up delicious Italian classics, Gelso and Grand is a great spot to head to for dinner with friends. You’re definitely gonna wanna get a shot of their infamous giant cannoli.

The Delancey 168 Delancey St, New York, NY 10002

The Delancey is a trendy night time spot complete with a plush lounge and canopied roof. The vibes here are what we like to call neon tropical, and you’re gonna wanna take all the pics.

Hotel Chantelle 92 Ludlow St, New York, NY 10002

Once known as one of the most fun bars in the neighborhood, this multi level restaurant hasn’t stopped serving up fun since the pandemic started. This is by far one of the vibiest brunch spots in all of Manhattan. With so many patterned walls and colorful backdrops, you'll think this restaurant was designed just to take insta pics inside.

Nomo Kitchen 9 Crosby St, New York, NY 10013

Another amazing brunch option, you’re gonna be taking a million pics before even walking through the front door. Their arched front walkway entrance is simply unbeatable.

Freemans Freeman Alley, New York, NY 10002

Freemans is tucked into an alleyway and can be super easy to miss at first, but that’s what makes this restaurant so cool. Their graffiti walls and vibey front door aesthetic are very East Village and so perfect as an insta pic background.

Souvlaki GR 116 Stanton Street, New York, NY, 10002

You’re gonna feel like you hopped a plane straight to Mykonos when you enter this restaurant. Souvlaki does an amazing job of capturing the beauty that is the Greek islands. Their food is amazing too.
