A Latin American woman living in the United States of America was the winner of $2 million dollars last weekend. Brittaney Dominguez paid a ticket while visiting her friend in Fayetteville, Alabama's Talladega County.

Ms. Dominguez resides in the city of Winfield, located in Marion County which is also part of the state of Alabama. However, the winner of the prize comes from North Carolina and she wants to return to that territory after getting the money.

Brittaney obtained the Mega 7 type ticket worth $20.00 USD at the VGO gas station on North Reilly Road. After arriving at her friend's house, she checked the ticket and discovered that it had a reward on it.

The Hispanic woman was amazed at her luck and returned to the location where she received the ticket to officially check with the attendant. Brittaney told Education Lottery organizers that the facility worker congratulated her and she named him her lucky charm.

The two options

When Brittaney showed up to collect her prize, she learned that she had two options for depositing the money. The first proposal meant collecting a lump sum of $1.2 million.

The second option was to receive $100,000.00 USD for 20 years. Brittaney chose the initial variant and came up with an amount of $854,633.00 USD, because 29% tax was deducted from the total amount.

The lucky lady reported that she intends to buy a home in North Carolina. She also shared the idea of investing some of the dollars to open a food truck business.

Brittaney acknowledged that the food industry is where she enjoys working. Lottery officials noted that two $2 million dollar winners and three $100,000.00 USD winners have yet to be claimed.
