Some of Rochester's best sunset views are located in Webster, NY on Ontario Lake. Weather you're on land or floating on a boat in the Lake, the satisfaction of watching the sun set by open water is relaxing, refreshing, and does so much repair work to the soul. Spending just 10-15 minutes a day or even only a couple times per week will bring so much peace to your day, I promise.
Webster Park Pier
One place in Webster, NY where you can get a great view of the sunset is Webster Park Pier. You can spend some time being active in Webster Park then walk to the end of the pier where the sun and open waters will be your only sight you see! Located on Lake Road, the pier is a popular spot in Webster for people of all ages. It's peaceful, everyone you meet is friendly, the dominating sound is gentle waves brushing up the rocks, and sight you see is nothing but all that nature has to offer! If you are able to get there on time, you can have a seat on the enormous rocks located at the end of the pier and be as close to the water as possible with front row view of the sun as it sets! If you can't get front row seats on the rocks, don't worry. There is pleanty of room on the pier where you can sit back and watch nature in action.
Webster Sandbar Park
Another great place in Webster with wonderful view of the sunset is a few miles down, again on Lake road. Sandbar Park, located on 302 Lake Rd on the shores of Lake Ontario and Irondequoit Bay. you can park your car and climb up a tiny hill to get a perfect view of the sun. Head over a little earlier to get a picnic table where you can have dinner as you enjoy the sunset!
