If you were hoping to snag free tickets to the 2023 Florida Strawberry Festival, a new giveaway hosted on Facebook and Instagram by the festival's sound stage might just be your lucky ticket — offering a chance to win a free ticket to see one of five select headline performers, at least!
"Fresh strawberries + rockin' concerts = one extra sweet day at the 2023 @flstrawverryfestival!" the post by Wish Farms announcing the contest to their Instagram followers reads, in part. "We're giving away FOUR pairs of concert tickets from this year's Wish Farms Soundstage line-up to FOUR lucky winners."
An additional post was made on the official Wish Farms Facebook page with the same opening statement, instead throwing up two more pairs of tickets for giveaway to a different set of artists.
Both announcements continue on to list the artists that potential winners can choose from, as well as how to enter, ending it off with a brief description of the terms and conditions. The contest's full terms and conditions can be read on Wish Farms' website, where they offer a more detailed breakdown.
Who do winners have a chance to see for free?
Tickets up for grabs in the Instagram iteration of the giveaway include performances from country music artists Walker Hayes, Chris Young, and Josh Turner, as well as R&B artist and actor, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges.
Those entering on Facebook have the choice between tickets to Josh Turner or American pop-rock band, Train. You can find a list of all headliners and their scheduled stage dates and times here.
The giveaway starts today, Wednesday, February 22. They'll take entries until February 26, with the contest ending at 11:59 Eastern Standard Time. The four IG and two FB winners will be chosen at random and notified by direct message on February 27 via their chosen entry platform, and must respond to that DM to claim their prize.
If you happen to enter, keep an eye out on your message requests inbox too, since you'll only have 24 hours to stake your claim. If you don't? Unfortunately, the rules state that you'll forfeit your free tickets, and an alternate back-up winner will be drawn.
So, how does one enter the giveaway anyway?
The first step is to determine your eligibility. This contest is only open to legal residents of The United States and the District of Colombia, otherwise, entries are void. If eligible, the next step is easy — just hit the follow button for Wish Farms on your chosen entry platform.
After following, drop a like on the Facebook version, or Instagram contest post before commenting with the name of the artist performance you're hoping to win tickets for — as well as tagging the friend you'd want to have see the show with you. This will ensure you only win the pair of tickets for the performance you're actually wanting to see.
Those looking to increase their odds of winning have a few different ways of doing so too.
Firstly by repeating the above rules, but tagging a new user every time; the official rules state there is no limit to the number of entries you can submit this way, as long as you don't duplicate who you tag. You could even go through tagging your entire friends list if you wanted to go the extra mile.
Bonus entries can also be earned by sharing the post to your stories on either platform and tagging @WishFarms on Facebook, or @Wishfarmsberries on IG, respectively. This method can only be done once per day. They also note that if you make any additions or changes when resharing it that you must include the hashtag "#ad" conspicuously in the post.
Only a single winner and their plus one will be lucky enough to see the show for free. You won headliner tickets are only valid with a purchase of festival admission on their given show date, as you'll also have to pick your tickets up from the Wish Farms booth outside of Gate 1 within the festival grounds.
Admission to the Florida Strawberry Festival is $10 for adults and $8 for children aged 6 to 12 at the gate, with children under 6 getting in for free.
