Summer of 85, an Adolescent Heartbreak!

Summer of 85 is an ode to adolescent love and heartbreak. The movie adapts from the novel 'Dance on my Grave' Ozon's nod to teenage heartbreak, burdensome memories of love narrated in a flashback. The film is in the seaside town of Normandy.

Alex finds himself stranded in the middle of the ocean when David rescues him and takes him to his home. David introduces Alex to his mother, who is still in mourning of his father's death. Alex gets a lot of attention and is showered with love and affection from David. They enter into an obsessive and Lascivious affair.

Confident David completely bowls Alex, but then cracks begin to appear, and everything crumbles quickly. Story layers with the innocence of love and affection. Ozon's story and screenplay are soft and let you flow with the storyline of the film.
