ST. LOUIS, MO — St. Louis City SC is planning to build a four-story parking garage on the 1900 block of Olive Street. The block was formerly occupied by series of commercial buildings, which were demolished last year.

The building plan specifies that the four-story garage will be built in a cast in place style and clad in a metal mesh. The exterior processional stairs and viewing balcony will feature the "City Red" accenting. The plan does not show that the parking garage will include any retail or restaurant spaces on the ground floor. However, there is a plan that to build a garage office on the 19th street side.

The developer for the building is an affiliate of City SC listed as "Pitch314". Snow|Kreilich, an architect firm based in Minneapolis, has been appointed as the architect for the project, while the St. Louis-based company Tarlton is the contractor and has the project out for bid.

The plan also specifies that the garage that is currently being designed and built will accommodate future usages and a solar array on the top level, which would allow the structure to be a Net Zero Energy building.

The building permit for the garage was worth $19.7 million. Construction will start in September 2021, and the structure is planned to finish in December 2022.

The parking garage is part of the St. Louis SC campus in Downtown West. The campus includes a stadium, a team store/pavilion, practice/training fields, and building, and team headquarters. The majority of the district is built in the former 22nd Street interchange.
