ST. LOUIS, MO - Billiken fans will get their first glimpse of the Saint Louis University Volleyball team when they see the Billikens on the court in the fourth week of August.
They will be facing the Missouri Tigers and Creighton in Columbia, Missouri, in the Mizzou Invitational on August 27. A game against Kansas City will take place just one day later.
Saint Louis University's upcoming game against Arkansas State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and Murray State at Chaifetz Pavilion on September 3-4, the Billiken Invitational takes place later on in September.
A match against Southern Illinois on September 7 will set up the Billikens for the Mary Jo Wynn Invitational in Springfield, Mo., September 10 through 12. They will play a tour of three different universities, Tulane, Louisiana Monroe, and Missouri State.
In the GEFCE Bradley Invitational, SLU will play its final non-conference match during September 17-18 in Peoria, Illinois. As part of the tournament, the team will face Northern Colorado, North Dakota, and Bradley.
Oct. 8 will see the Billikens visit Duquesne before traveling to Dayton to face the A-10 Champions for 2020-21. Two weekends in a row, SLU will face George Washington and George Mason, first on the road, then in Chaifetz Pavilion.
The team regular season concludes with road contests at Fordham and Rhode Island on Nov. 5 and 7, followed by home games against Dayton and Duquesne on Nov. 12-13. The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held at Duquesne from Nov. 19-21.
Slu's head coach Kent Miller expressed his excitement about the 2021 competition schedule.
"With a non-conference schedule this year, we'll have the opportunity to play some of the best teams in the country, as well as take part in a number of highly competitive matches that will help us prepare for the Atlantic 10 season."
"The 2021 competition schedule provides us the competitive level and opportunities to compete for a conference championship and post-season play," Miller said.
