SAINT LOUIS, MO — On Thursday, July 21, Urban Chestnuts and Purina invite you to be a part of their fifth annual "Raise a Pint for Pets" event which is part of Pet Adoption Month.

During this event, Purina will donate $5 for each ticket that it sells to the charity Petfinder Foundation - to support local animal shelters.

In the St. Louis metropolitan area, there are numerous shelters that are part of the Petfinder Foundation, including:

• Helping Strays of Monroe County

• Gateway Pet Guardian

• Metro East Humane Society

• Open Door Animal Sanctuary

• Partners for Pets

• Humane Society of Missouri

• APA Adoption Center

• Belleville Area Humane Society

• Five Acres Animal Shelter

A few of these activities will be included with the event ticket: unlimited access to the Dog and Brat Bar, an exclusive 16oz ceramic stein carrying the UCBC + Purina logo, a draft beer bar open to the public, and live music.

Additionally, Purina will donate $1 for every Urban Underdog American Lager or Urban Underdog American Pale Ale sold at UCBC locations and designated Missouri accounts - as well as pop-up events between July 21, 2020, and September 30, 2021.

According to co-founder and owner David Wolfe, raising a pint for pets is a fun way to raise community awareness and fund shelter pets each year.

He noted, "We look forward to hosting our Raise a Pint for Pets dinner and to taking our Raise a Pint for Pets trailer to events and venues in the city this summer."
