SAINT LOUIS, MO — The Saint Louis University is hiring a full-time career counselor. They will work 40 hours a week.

The counselor will be responsible for counseling the students and alumni regarding their future careers, internships, job search services. They will also be teaching career courses.

The counselor will have to host outreach & networking programs and career services events. They have to promote and market career services to students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

They will also have to supervise and assist the management of staff.

To be successful in the position, candidates must have a Master’s degree in counseling, higher education, or any related field. With an added requirement of two years of related work experience.

They will also need to have experience in career counseling. And knowledge of human’s life-long development. They will need knowledge on job searches, including creating a resume or cover letter, interview & networking and salary negotiation.

The candidates will need to have impeccable interpersonal and human relations skills, along with superb verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking. They must be capable of working effectively with individuals of all backgrounds and identities.
