Innovation is rewarded. The ideas that you have, actually can push industries and companies forwards. The Vogt Invention and Innovation Awards awards program rewards just that.

Applications for nominees started on Friday April 29th. The Vogt Invention and Innovation Awards are choosing six applicants to receive:

  • $25,000 in non-dilutive funds. Non-dilutive funds, do not require the awarded companies to divest their companies to funders.
  • Coaching and mentoring from industry veterans.
  • 10-week start-up accelerator program, according to the Community Foundation of Louisville.

These awards are designed to boost their companies’ growth and enable their retention of ownership of their company.

Once can check the eligibility requirements to apply. The 2022, Vogt Invention and Innovation Awards recipients are businesses and not individuals. In order to win, companies must be within a 13 county, Louisville metro area. This area includes Indiana: Clark, Floyd, Washington, Scott and Harrison counties. For Kentucky: Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties.


Each business awarded a Vogt Invention and Innovation Award, will have received less than half a million in funding, have a product that creates consumer demand, have no more than $250,000 annual revenue, and business be registered with either Kentucky Secretary of State of Indiana Secretary of State.

Applications are accepted through May 31st. The Vogt Invention and Innovation Fund, an endowment fund of Henry V. Heuser S., makes this 22nd annual event possible.

The award recipients will be announced in July, and are chosen by a panel consisting of chairperson Monique Quarterman, Deputy Executive Director, Kentucky Innovation, Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, according to The Lane Report.
