How to calm a flapping halibut

It's pretty dangerous when halibuts are flappy on the deck of a boat, especially while there are sharp objects like hooks & gaffs all around. By simply applying pressure either above or below the pectoral fin of the halibut, it somehow calms the halibut down making it easier to process the fish. Hope this trick helps you on your next trip.
