As much as I love coffee, I love scones even more. They are the perfect combination. Coffee Cup, a cute little coffee stand in Portland off of Barnes Road, has many treats to savor.

I ran across their Yelp page, and I knew I had to check them out. I love to support small, independent coffee shops and kiosks. Reviewers noted how delicious the coffee and treats were. There were lots of photos of all of the scones and different flavors featured.

They are near some medical buildings and also down the road from St. Vincent Hospital, so people often stop by before or after their appointments for a treat.

They offer a wide variety of coffee drinks as well as green tea lattes, chai, frappes, and more. For the kids, there are fruit smoothies, hot chocolates, Italian sodas, and steamers. Their alternative milk choices include soy, almond, hemp, and coconut milk.

They are the lifeblood of our lives here in the Portland area.

Coffee Cup is in the parking lot of the Mexican restaurant, Si Senor. I loved this stand so much that I went twice to make sure I tried many of their treats.

On my first trip, I savored a large latte and some berry scones. The people working there were friendly and even gave me a punch card for future trips. I love supporting these small businesses because they really care about their community and customer service. Each customer that comes through matters.

The scones were so tasty! I love how they have the crunch of sugar on top, plenty of delicious berries, and they are soft and fluffy inside. My son enjoyed the other berry scone as a late morning treat.

My second trip was even more flavorful. Once again, the employees greeted me with positivity at the kiosk. It was a bright, sunny day, so I ordered an iced latte.

I love how much the rich coffee flavor came through the milk. Fantastic!

I knew I had to try another scone flavor, so I went with the chocolate scone this time. It was a mixture of vanilla, cocoa, and chocolate chips. Divine! This time my husband, son, and I all tried it. It is the most delicious chocolate scone I have ever encountered. Top-notch!

I believe that although coffee is paramount, what accompanies it is even more key to your enjoyment.

My son also enjoyed a strawberry smoothie with whipped cream on top from Coffee Cup. He said it was very yummy, and he gave it a big thumbs up.

Next time I visit Coffee Cup I will also try their breakfast sandwiches. I know this is another offering that many customers have raved about.
