Breakfast is my absolute favorite meal of the day. If I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be anything related to a delicious breakfast.

If you are like me, you are always on the hunt for a great breakfast to start your day.

Even though I work from home, I want to get out of the house every once in a while. It does wonders to get out and pick up a treat before getting on with my day.

On Fridays, I make it a point to get out and explore a bit. I knew that I wanted a good breakfast. Searching around Yelp, I found this cafe tucked away in a local business park.

Cornell Oaks Cafe in Beaverton is just minutes away from my home. It makes for a perfect short drive to pick up breakfast.

This morning I decided to pick up breakfast for both myself and my son.

When I arrived, I noticed they had a big sign near the parking lot. They also have picnic tables on a patio outside so that you can enjoy your food on a sunny day.

It is a large cafe, serving several local office buildings. It is also near a pediatric clinic. I noticed there were several regular customers there waiting for their usual orders.

The space was immaculate, and the floors were shiny and clean. I loved how organized everything is.

I placed my order at the counter and loved that you choose the bread type for your breakfast sandwich and French toast.

I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, and cheddar cheese. For my son, I ordered the French toast with bacon.

The portion size for both entrees is impressive. I ate half of the breakfast sandwich in the morning and a half for lunch. My son ate half of his French toast and was satisfied. He said it was tasty.

I also decided to order a small chai latte to go with my breakfast. It was delicious and had just the right amount of spice and sweetness to start my day off right.

The employees were very busy cooking orders, answering the phone, and taking orders at the counter. They did everything with grace and speed. It is important to note that they prepare everything fresh.

I noticed they have an area for Grub Hub drivers to pick up orders. Everything is well labeled and easy to follow.

They had only four tables available for indoor seating, with plenty of space between them for social distancing. The employees also faithfully wore masks and gloves. I felt secure in this cafe.

I noticed that they had a standard menu for lunch as well as a few specials on offer.

Today they offered the Korean specialty ba bim bap, which is a spicy veggie, beef, and rice bowl served with an egg. It is one of my husband's favorite dishes, so we will be back to check out their lunch soon.

They also have special soups, sandwiches, quesadillas, and wraps with an Asian flair and standard lunch offerings.

I love how this cafe offers something out of the ordinary while also making traditional fare stand out with their quality. I admire the attention to detail.

Our delicious breakfast was still hot and fresh when I got it home from the cafe. The French toast smelled of vanilla, and it had lots of melted butter on top.

My sandwich was still piping hot, and so was my latte.

My son and I toasted to Friday and enjoyed our special meal at home together. I praise this cafe for its hard work and dedication to quality.
