Austin City Limits Music Festival

Dates: Oct. 1–3 & 8–10, 2021, Austin, TX

It's an eight-stage event with many talented artists to entertain you.

The name ‘Austin City Limits’ comes from a concert series that was successful in the past. The festival includes an art market, lots of tasty treats, and a special area for the family to play and have fun together.

Some of the many talents appearing at the festival.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She has a distinctive raspy voice, and music incorporates varied styles and genres, including pop, country pop, hip hop, experimental, and rock.

Billie Eilish

This talented musician is still quite young. Her full name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell.

In 2015, her dance teacher asked her to write a song for a dance routine and she recorded “Ocean Eyes”. Her brother helped her upload it to SoundCloud and was surprised to discover it went viral overnight.

Eilish was born and raised in LA and grew in a house where art and creativity were heavily encouraged.

in 2020 she won 5 Grammy Awards and is the youngest person to have won a Grammy.

Ocean Eyes is the song she wrote for her dance teacher.

Rufus Du Sol

This alternative dance band serves up machine-generated pop, resulting in simple songs that get you up and dancing. The singer-keyboardist is Tyrone Lindqvist, and the keyboardist-percussionist Jon George and drummer James Hunt founded Rufus.

They added the “Du Sol” later on when they came up against an American trademark problem. Chaka Khan’s funk band had laid claim to the Rufus title in America decades ago.

They create the kind of music that slowly picks away at your heart. Some have said the way they layer their music bringing otherworldly, wistful elements creeping in and guiding you, transforms them into temporary shamans.

They talk about how the process of creation changes their sound. Each album seems to have a theme, which reflects what they are going through.

This song reflects the stark landscapes of Joshua Tree.

Stevie Nicks

As one of rock and roll’s most beloved and successful artists, Stevie Nicks is on track to reach even greater career heights in 2020. She’s planning appearances in several special music festivals, new music, and she’s researched and developed a film.

In 2019 she was the first woman inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the second time. This time Nicks’ extraordinary career as a solo artist was officially honored. Her previous 1998 induction was as a member of the legendary Fleetwood Mac.

This is an amazing song written by a woman who is likely the best storyteller of my generation.

Megan thee Stallion

This artist was called a stallion when she was a teen because of how tall she was. At five foot ten inches, she stood above the crowd. That’s something to be embraced as a celebrity. Megan Jovon Ruth Pete is a rap artist and songwriter. Originally from Houston, Texas, she was discovered when her freestyling videos became popular on social media.

Doja Cat

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. She creates music that has been classified in a variety of genres including hip hop; ‎pop‎; R&B, and ‎pop-rap‎.

A LA native, Doja Cat made her first upload to Soundcloud in 2013 when she was sixteen. Her musical talent began while she studied music, primarily piano and dance when she was younger.

These deliciously vibrant, candy-coated beats are part of her style. Her knack of dropping bars doubled-up on double entendre, and singing with claws out, unlocks a sweetly sexy world soundtrack.

It’s going to be an event music lovers will talk about for years to come.
