Each year, the Woodlands of Dover International Speedway are transformed. A team of fireflies descend on the grounds and create a magical musical paradise.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Firefly Festival so the magic will be particularly powerful.

Firefly is a multi-genre music festival, one of the largest in the country.

It’s the East coast’s largest camping festival. There are a variety of areas to choose from, all priced differently, depending on location and what is provided. There are 106 acres of camping to choose from.

Firefly is known for its quality, from the curated lineup to the immersive onsite experience provided to festival-goers. There are lots of places to explore.

There is a silent disco, a beach house, parades, a hammock hangout, and lots of places to chill while you’re enjoying your festival experience.

There will be an abundance of talent in the incredible lineup of the very best of pop, indie, rock, hip hop, electronic, and everything in-between,


Billie Eilish

This talented musician is still quite young. Her full name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell.

In 2015, her dance teacher asked her to write a song for a dance routine and she recorded “Ocean Eyes”. Her brother helped her upload it to SoundCloud and was surprised to discover it went viral overnight.

Eilish was born and raised in LA and grew in a house where art and creativity were heavily encouraged.

in 2020 she won 5 Grammy Awards and is the youngest person to have won a Grammy.

Ocean Eyes is the song she wrote for her dance teacher.

The Killers

They chose the name for their band when they were watching a music video by New Order. The bass drum displayed a logo that was their inspiration for ‘The Killers’.

Their genre is rock, but the specific type of rock is difficult to pin down as they tend to write a wide variety of songs. Alternative rock, indie rock, post-punk revival, new wave, heartland rock, pop-rock, synth-pop, pop, glam rock, dance-rock, dance-pop, arena rock, and electronic rock have all been named as possible genres

This band was formed in Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards, bass) and Dave Keuning (lead guitar, backing vocals). They’ve since added Mark Stoermer (bass, rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion).

The Killers are considered one of the biggest rock bands of the 21st century

Tame Impala

This band is a music project that the artist has been working on for several years.

Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker records, performs, and produces all of the project’s music in the studio. When they tour, Tame Impala consists of Parker, Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, and Julien Barbagallo.


This singer/rapper songwriter and flutist is unabashedly genuine. Her full name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson. She is comfortable in her own skin, defying the music industry’s ideas of what a female artist is supposed to look like. She’s from Detroit, Michigan.

The iconic ‘Good As Hell’ by Lizzo. Lovin’ it.

Megan thee Stallion

Megan Jovon Ruth Pete is a rapper and songwriter from Houston, Texas. She came to fame through videos of her freestyling on social media platforms such as Instagram.

Cage the Elephant

These two brothers got together with their high-school friends to form a band. Then they moved to London to begin their career. Their debut album named Cage the Elephant gained them international attention.

The members of the band are: brothers Matt and Brad Shultz, fellow students Jared Champion and Daniel Tichenor, and Nick Bockrath and Matthan Minster.

Roddy Ricch

This artist combines West coast hip-hop roots with trap music.

Trap is a ’90s subgenre of hip-hop. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word “trap”, a place where you can buy illegal drugs.

Rodrick Wayne Moore Jr. rose to fame in 2018 with the single “Die Young”, which peaked at number 98 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Wiz Khalifa

This artist is Cameron Jibril Thomaz and he balances pop hooks, charm, and stoner swagger to produce a unique style in his genre.

He comes from a military family and his parents divorced when he was quite young so he moved around a lot, living on military bases all over the world. He wrote his first song when he was only nine, by the time he was twelve, he was recording and producing his own records

Machine Gun Kelly

This American rapper is a talented singer and songwriter. He’s also a wrapper. In the past, he has cultivated a ‘bad boy image, lots of tats, loves anarchy, and endorses drug use in public. More recently he has moved into punk rock, which is an interesting transition from rap.


The Treehouse

An intimate location, this stage is a great escape from the sun. Here you will see up-and-coming bands and hear some acoustic performances. Exclusive interviews are a treat in this setting.

Silent Disco in the Thicket

A unique experience, this area allows you to rock on to music listened to on wireless headphones.

The Nest

This new stage is high in the trees. A selection of talented DJs will be tucked behind their turntables in the nest, keeping you dancing all weekend long.

North Hub Beach Club

This is a full-on beach party with a tiki bar, DJ sets, and beach volleyball. Return late at night for a silent disco.

Roller Rink

We provide the roller skate and you provide the moves. This is a great way to feel the DJ beats at this new rink in the North Hub

Pride Parade

Join us to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community, inclusivity, equal rights, and all things rainbow at our first-ever Pride Parade.

Hammock Hangout

Bring your hammock and hang out. It’s a great place to chill after a full evening of dancing.

Drag Brunch

Watch our live drag show while you eat. This is an entertaining and fun area.

Free Yoga

Free yoga sessions in the North Hub and the Meadows each morning will help you ease into the day of fun.

The festival has selected a plethora of tasty treats from high-end cocktails and late-night pizza to vegan and gluten-free entrees and gourmet delicacies.

Firefly Ale 2021

Each year, Firefly collaborates with the Dogfish Head Brewery plus other craft beers from the famous Delaware brewhouse.
