When it comes to chain restaurants, your quantity of options is never an issue in a country like America. What you really need to watch out for is quality.
With that in mind, the editors over at Mashed have conducted a study to find each of the 50 states' best chain restaurants.
They have meticulously sifted through recommendations, online reviews, and other forms of recognition to pinpoint the absolute best chain restaurant in each state.
The results have been revealed and the winner for Mississippi is none other than Ward's.
Ward's got its start in 1978 when two brothers, Ed Ward and Richard Ward set out to bring their New Orleans-based fast food to Mississippi.
Ward's now operates more than a dozen locations throughout the state and is most known for their homemade root beer, chili dogs, chili burgers, and ice cream sundaes.
Other options include the "Ward's Quarder", (which includes tomato and lettuce), wraps, chicken sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, catfish, and various sides. Ward's also serves breakfast, including made-to-order eggs and a variety of biscuits and breakfast wraps.
What do you think? Does Ward's deserve the title of Mississippi's best fast-food chain? Let us know what you think in the caption.
