Boston City Hall is the location of the city government in Boston. It houses the offices of the mayor and the Boston City Council. The current hall was built in 1968 to take over the functions of the Old City Hall.
As the article mentions, "Surely an iconic American city like Boston deserves a better city hall than this? I wouldn’t want to step foot in this one unless I had to, and then I’d probably be lost forever in this labyrinthine, stone maze."
While we agree that brutalism style architecture, which was popular during the 1960s, isn't the best choice for such a prominent city fixture, we're not so sure it deserves the harsh title of the ugliest building in the state.
