A newly released list of the richest communities in Iowa has been released from the online database known as Home Snacks.
They have analyzed recent census data including the poverty rate, median household income, unemployment rate, and where the richest people in the state live in order to create a list of cities and towns that are considered the richest in the state of Iowa.
The results have been revealed and it seems like towns from all over the state made the list.
But what town topped the list? According to Home Snacks, Polk City is the wealthiest community in Iowa with a median income of $141,548 which is nearly double the state's median household income of $72,429.

Polk City is a suburb of Des Moines with a population of 5,543. It is known as one of the best places to live in the state complete with plenty of restaurants, parks, and highly-rated public schools.
