A newly released list of the most affordable coastal communities in California has been released from the online database known as Strategistico.
The website combines recent data from the Census, FBI, OpenStreetMaps, and dozens of other sources to create bite-sized lists and studies designed to help citizens better understand what it is like to live in different communities across the country.
They used data from AreaVibes and BestPlaces.net to determine each town’s affordability and created a list of cities and towns that are considered the most affordable in the state of California.
The results have been revealed and it seems like communities from all across the state have made the list.
But what city topped the list? According to Strategistico, Crescent City is the most affordable coastal community in California.
Other California communities that made the list following Crescent City were:
- Samoa
- Eureka
- Arcata
- Oceano
- Imperial Beach
- Oxnard
- Oceanside
- Long Beach
- Grover Beach
- San Pedro
- Ventura
Crescent City is a small town of just over 6,000 residents located 25 minutes from Oregon in northern California. The cost of living in Crescent City is 28% lower than the California average and the median price for a home here is $218,300.
Only about half of the towns and cities on this list have a medium home price of under $500,000 which comes as no surprise seeing that California is one of the most expensive states to live in. Click here to view the full article.
