This region of the state is filled with award-winning wineries, quaint bed and breakfasts, and plenty of shopping. The small city of Fredericksburg is no exception and makes for an amazing weekend getaway.

Fredericksburg is most known for its wineries like Grape Creek Vineyards, a 25-acre Tuscan-style winery that features patios and tasting rooms with a sweeping 360-degree view of the natural beauty that surrounds this paradise in the hills.

But that's only just the beginning. Fredericksburg is also home to a whopping 150 unique shops, boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, and three fascinating museums including a replica of a 19th-century German church that once stood in the city.

There is so much to see and do in the small city of Fredericksburg which is often overshadowed by larger cities like Austin and San Antonio.
