The United States is home to over 300 large cities and when it comes to friendliness and hospitality, not all cities are created equal.
We often think of the southern states as being the nicest and most welcoming, that's why we were shocked to find out that a city in Ohio has topped this year's list of The 50 Friendliest Cities in America.
Enjoy Travel has surveyed its readers from across the country. They asked respondents things like how easy it is for them to make new friends in their city to how helpful they find strangers to be. With this data, they have compiled a list of the top 50 friendliest cities.
So where in Ohio can you feel the most welcome? According to Enjoy Travel that would be in the city of Columbus.
As the article points out, Columbus is an example of the friendly midwestern attitude that states like Ohio are known for. Generally speaking, residents here have a positive attitude towards others, are open-minded, and are great at making conversation. The city has also been highlighted for its focus on families and kid-centric activities.
Other cities in Ohio that made the list were Cincinnati coming in at number 23 and the city of Dublin coming in at number 38.
Do you think Columbus has earned the title of the country's friendliest city? Are there any other cities in Ohio that you think are more worthy of this title? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
