The Constitution State has quite a few wonderful ways to usher in the holiday season. Between the magical Christmas light displays and festivals, there is so much going on you’ll be hard-pressed to fit it all in this season. However, after you take a look at this one-of-a-kind Christmas shop in Fairfield County, you might just want to visit.
Nestled in the town of Wilton, the Historical Christmas Barn has been open since 1990 and is one of the best and biggest Christmas shops in the entire state.
This charming destination sells everything from unique ornaments, to festive candles, intricate nutcrackers, gifts, and candy.
The store can be found inside a cluster of beautifully restored antique buildings. The large white colonial house is open year-round and full of holiday cheer no matter what month you decide to visit.
The Historical Christmas Barn is undeniably a fun store to explore and you could easily spend hours wandering through this sea of seemingly endless decorations. Highlights include a wonderful Christmas photo-op sleigh outside, beautifully lit Christmas trees placed throughout the store, and stunning decorations made by artist Patricia Breen and her husband Eric in their studio located in Krakow, Poland.
The Historical Christmas Barn is open every day of the week from 10 am until 5 pm. The store closes earlier on Sundays at 4 pm. To learn more about the Christmas Barn, be sure to check out their official site here or their official Facebook page here.
