There are so many wonderful ways to usher in the holiday season. From the magical Christmas light displays and festivals, there is so much going on in Texas this month that you’ll be hard-pressed to fit it all in this season. However, after you take a look at this one-of-a-kind Christmas market in Arlington, you might just want to visit.
Known as the Texas Christkindl Market, this annual tradition takes place at the North Plaza within the Globe Life Field in Arlington throughout the month of December.
This event is modeled after Arlington's sister city, Bad Königshofen, Germany. You can expect plenty of authentic German treats like schnitzel and jumbo pretzels to authentic German architecture and collectibles.
The Market will feature a ton of wonderful vendors selling everything from unique ornaments to handcrafted decorations. It is one of the biggest and best holiday events to take place in the state every year, and will surely be the best way to get all of your holiday shopping done.
Another German holiday tradition includes a visit from St. Nik–adorned in a beautiful rich velvet robe, and his long genuine white beard. St. Nik will take the time to connect with each child, so make sure to schedule a time to visit with him at the market, and don't forget to drop off your wish list letters at the special red mailbox.
Admission and parking are completely free. To learn more about the market and all of the events they have planned for this season, be sure to visit their official site here.
