The Charlotte Christmas Village is a charming ode to the old-fashioned German Christkindlmarkts. These month-long festivals are known for their epic light displays, festive vendors, and abundance of holiday cheer.
The Charlotte Christmas Village is expanding its offerings significantly this year. For the 2022 season, we can expect an ice rink and a 6-lane snow tubing slope surrounded by lights.
The village will also feature incredible holiday light displays, live entertainment, on-field concessions, tons of gift vendors, and visits from Santa himself.
Highlights also include a massive Christmas tree–one of the largest in the state and a great place for a holiday photo op.
Festivities will take place at the Truist Field, the Uptown-area stadium that hosts the Charlotte Knights.
The Charlotte Christmas Village opened on November 23rd and will remain open every Thursday through Sunday until December 23rd. Weekday hours are 5 pm until 10 pm and on weekends the village will be open all day starting at 12 pm.
Festival admission starts at just $10 a person. To learn more about The Charlotte Christmas Village and all of the special events and performances they have planned for this year, you can visit their official site here.
