This Gigantic Recreation Complex is Opening in Nebraska Soon

When you think of Gretna, Nebraska, you may picture the Schramm State Park or the shopping outlets. But there’s actually a lot more coming to this eastern Sarpy County town. In 2023, Gretna will welcome a massive recreation complex and it is sure to be amazing. Keep reading to learn more.

With a population of just over 5,000 residents, this growing town has big plans for the future. Construction on a 150-acre plot of land is well underway. It is currently being turned into a huge area for future and current residents to gather in that will provide tons of fun for all ages.

Scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2023, Gretna Crossing Park will include state of the art playgrounds for children, dog parks, a man-made lake, and miles of grassy fields and walking paths to enjoy.

In addition to these wonderful outdoor areas, the park will also be home to an indoor rec center that will include a gym and a gorgeous indoor pool.

If you or your kids love the water, this will be a fantastic spot to head to. The park will also feature an exciting outdoor water park complete with a giant waterslide, pool, lazy river, and plenty of shaded seating for guests looking to sit back and relax.

Some other exciting additions include an 18-hole frisbee golf course, batting cages, a pond for fishing, and an amphitheater with tons of grassy space to lay out and enjoy a live concert.

The park will be a wonderful addition to the community and surrounding areas where families can get together and celebrate everything from birthdays to reunions outdoors in this new gorgeous space.
