Travel Maven

Ohio is actually home to hundreds of beaches and while we all have our favorites, finding one that meets all our expectations can actually be quite hard. From clean facilities, to clear water and white sand, there are a few beaches in Ohio that truly go above and beyond your average beach

While Geneva State and Kelleys Island are the most popular, they're usually the loudest and most crowded as well, and when it comes to a relaxing day in the sun, no one wants to be distracted or annoyed by other beachgoers.

The water here mimics that of the real ocean except its much more clear than the water you'll find on the East coast. The current is mostly calm but can definitely get a bit more choppy depending on the day you visit. Either way, the water here is perfect for those of all ages and not too deep, just be aware lifeguards are not on duty.
