The Madcap Motel

Experience Los Angeles's must-see 17,000 sq. ft. immersive adventure at the Madcap Motel. The interactive entertainment venue in downtown Los Angeles is a retro space featuring 18 rooms full of interactive and sharable experiences.

Initially intended for a March 2020 release and delayed due to the pandemic, Madcap Motel is currently accepting tourists seeking an escape from reality.

The experience unfolds in a restored, once abandoned 1960s motel. Then you enter a portal to an alternate dimension where you can explore the hidden rooms and passageways behind each motel door.

Stroll into the world's first-ever time-warping wormhole, roam the jungle atrium, and immersive yourself into other visual oddities & wonders.

There is also a photo booth and a gift shop at the end.

Dreamscape Immersive

This immersive virtual reality experience allows you to escape to faraway worlds. Dreamscape will transport you to places you only imagined.

Located on the 2nd floor, near Eataly and Del Frisco's of Westfield Century City, they provide epic adventures for you to pick from.

Choose from a variety of virtual reality experiences, including Alien Zoo, The Blu: Deep Rescue, The Curse of the Lost Pearl: A Magic Projector Adventure, and Dragons: Flight Academy.

This is the kind of experience you'd find in a Disney theme park. I absolutely loved it. No player in all of free roam VR... comes even close to what Dreamscape achieves in art, storytelling, immersion and presence. - Forbes.

Sessions are available from 10 am to 11 pm daily. Check out the website for more information and times - dreamscapeimmersive.com.

Desert X 2021 exhibition, Coachella Valley California

Want to get out of the city and be immersed in an out-of-the-world landscape? If you haven't been to Desert X 2021, now is your last chance as there are still a few exhibitions open to the public, even though the event is now closed.

You'll find the works spread throughout the California Coachella Valley in various outdoor locations. Check the map before you go to find out which exhibitions are still available to view.

Desert X includes works reflecting on the past and imagining the possibilities of a shared future. The works use the desert landscape as their canvas. The results are surreal and breathtaking.

The Desert X 2021 exhibition explores the desert as both a place and idea, acknowledging the realities of people who reside here and the political, social, and cultural contexts that shape our stories. - Desert X.

The outdoor experience is free and open to all, so take a short California road trip and enjoy the best of nature.
