In the last few months, several new restaurants have opened in Los Angeles. Now is a great time to get out and enjoy an evening dining out. A few of these restaurants offer happy hour too. Here are the new restaurant openings in Los Angeles that have caught our eye and offer exciting menus.

If you are a foodie, you will undoubtedly be interested in trying them. Escape from the kitchen, and book a table at these new restaurants!


Saso is a new seafood-focused restaurant in Pasadena and is a perfect spot for a date night. This Basque-inspired bistro is housed in the historic Pasadena Playhouse.

The new Los Angeles restaurant serves delicious pintxos such as grilled prawns or Alaskan mussels to start. Mains include whole fish Basquaise, bone-in wagyu steak, seared ora king salmon, and other tantalizing seafood or meat options. Saso will even have the most intrepid foodie salivating at the menu.

Additionally, there is a happy hour from 3 to 6 pm. Not only does it include wines and spirits, but pintxos too.

They also have some unique cocktails on offer, such as the New Moon (horseradish vodka, manzanilla sherry, Lillet blanc, squid ink ice cube) or the Txolo Squinkles (tequila, mezcal, poblano liqueur, lime, grapefruit).

Saso is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12 pm to 10 pm. (11 pm on Friday and Saturday.)

This new modern Mexican restaurant in Beverly Hills serves some of the most exciting Mexican food in the city.

Founded by Michelin Star chef Joshua Gil and Matthew Egan, Mirame brings contemporary Mexican cuisine with locally sourced ingredients and produce. They also offer a hand-selected list of Mexican wines, tequila, and Mexican spirits. Some are bottled exclusively for Mirame.

"This place has the most fantastic food!!! Unique twists on Mexican food. We ordered the shrimp/octopus ceviche, lamb barbacoa tacos, and the poblano fried chicken tacos (arguably the best thing I've eaten in a while)." - Tova W, Yelp.

Opened in March, this restaurant will please sushi lovers. Yakumi is from the masterminds behind Sushi Roku and Katana and promises to deliver high-quality ingredients, the freshest fish, and easy-to-order combination boxes.

Besides the seafood combinations boxes, they have a vegan offering, and you can choose various salads and rolls from their à la carte menu. With wine, beer, sake, and cocktails, this upscale restaurant is an entirely new way to enjoy sushi.

Open Daily | 11:30 am -10 pm.

Additionally, they have just announced a weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 pm.

The Bungalow Kitchen

A brand-new restaurant concept, The Bungalow Kitchen is now open. The project is by globetrotting star chef Michael Mina and long-standing Los Angeles operator Brent Bolthouse.

The stylish decor at Bungalow Kitchen includes chic lounge areas, pool tables, indoor and outdoor dining.

Diners can choose from a diverse menu that includes a late-night menu until 2 am on select nights. Some standouts include Chili-Garlic King Crab, Crispy Duck Wings, Lobster Pot Pie Filet Mignon, and signature house-made pizzas.
