Perfectionism and Procrastination! Who here is a perfectionist? Who here procrastinates daily?
Um yes, yes, and yes to all the above.
Do you find yourself needing to be perfect in everything you do or you don’t do it at all?
Like, working out for example. If you miss one day or one week, do you skip it entirely? Often times we have this need to feel like we’re doing everything perfect, or we don’t do it at all. But 2 workouts is better than none. And 1 workout is better than none. A walk is better than not moving at all.
Perfectionism is the greatest form of procrastination. It’s okay if it doesn’t look perfect ... just move! And try not to judge what that looks like.
This idea can be applied to not only exercise, but anything in life!
View my motto below:
"Do the Hardest Task First".
This is my journal entry... reminding myself to do the HARDEST task first.
Whatever you find challenging to get done, ESPECIALLY if you feel the need for it to be perfect, try doing that task FIRST.
Having trouble getting your workouts in? Schedule them early in the day.
Have a list of tasks to complete for work? Which task looks the most draining and the most challenging? You'll feel SO good once you've completed that task that you've been procrastinating. You'll feel so good, even if it takes all day. Try doing it first!
