What we all need more of. This year and every year.
So what do we all need more of?
To Be Vulnerable.
Something I’m learning to do.
Being vulnerable is scary AF.
But it’s only when we’re vulnerable that the GREATEST things happen.
You can’t grow without being vulnerable.
I used to never advocate for myself.
I was scared I would look stupid or annoy people.
I never asked for help because I didn’t want people to know I needed help.
I didn’t want to seem like I couldn’t already do it by myself.
I wouldn't apply for jobs, degrees, even answer questions out of fear that I wasn't good enough.
Good enough to answer a question? What kind of negative self talk is that?
I’ve been advocating for myself a lot more lately and already big things are happening. Yes, big things even the time of the corona virus.
I’ve been asking for help and just going for it.
Did Donald Trump have all of the qualifications to be President of the United States?
No, but look where he's been for the past 4 years.
“I’m not qualified.”
“They don’t know me.”
“I don’t have experience.”
“I don’t know if he/she feels the same way.”
Take that language out of your vocabulary and just GO for it.
Believe in yourself. Trust yourself.
You got this.
