Rising inflation and grocery prices have consumers scrambling for ways to lower costs on necessities like food, fuel, cleaning products, personal care items, and other essentials. H-E-B and Central Market have found a way to relieve some of the pressure on Texans’ already stretched budgets.
Yesterday, H-E-B and Central Market announced the launch of two new credit cards that offer lots of ways for customers to save money on everyday purchases. The H-E-B Signature and Central Market Visa Signature credit cards allow customers to receive unlimited cash back on groceries.
Customers can receive 5% cash back when they buy items from the H-E-B family of brands with either of the new credit cards. There are thousands of products to choose from. The H-E-B family of brands includes Central Market, Hill Country Fare, Field & Future by H-E-B, Kodi, Cocinaware, GTC, and more.
Those who use Favor Delivery service will also receive the 5% cash back when using the H-E-B or Central Market credit cards.
Card users purchasing fuel or any other items from H-E-B brand stores will receive unlimited 1.5% cash back. This includes H-E-B restaurants like True Texas BBQ and SouthFlo Pizza.
“At H-E-B, we’re always looking to create and adopt innovative, quality programs that give Texans more ways to save,” said Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B Group Vice President of Marketing in a press release.
Ashwin continued, “With the H-E-B and Central Market credit cards, we’re offering Texans a more rewarding shopping experience that provides savings wherever they shop and gives H-E-B and Central Market fans a premium benefit on their favorite products.”
As an added incentive, the first 20,000 approved applicants for the H-E-B Visa Credit care and the first 10,000 approved applicants approved for the Central Market Visa Credit Card will have the option to choose a limited-edition metal card while supplies are available.
As of now, applications are not available in store, but customers can complete an application online through the H-E-B or Central Market websites. The two cards require separate applications. If approved, a virtual card will be issued immediately and the physical card will be sent through the mail.
For those who don’t want another credit card, H-E-B recently came out with a H-E-B Debit Card account which can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Cardholders will be able to receive 5% cash back on H-E-B brand products and other benefits.
