TEXARKANA, Texas – Healthcare Express in Texarkana hosts a Fall Market on Sunday benefiting CASA at the Silvermoon on Broad.
Guests stopping by for the free event to shop local were offered complimentary margaritas and a chance to buy a raffle ticket for an opportunity to win a basket full of gift cards and goods from the market’s vendors.
Healthcare Express Community Marketer Jakie Arellano said her role is to educate the community to let them know they are here to help with all of life’s small emergencies.
“We decided to have this Fall Market event and we had different vendors come in to create a mini shopping spree. We have arts, boutiques and handmade things to raise money for Texarkana’s non-profit CASA.
So, we have door prizes and we are giving away some really cool gifts. The raffle tickets are $5 and all the proceeds will go to them,” said Arellano.
Some of the participating vendors were Kid to Kid, Prodigy Life and Wellness Collective, SJOLIE, Summerhill Nutrition, The Lost Antler, Happy Accidents Artwork and Paparazzi Jewelry, just to name a few.
CASA of Texarkana offers hope, healing and justice by advocating for abused and neglected children in the welfare system.
Arellano said, “Our next big event will be Trunk or Treat on Friday, Oct. 28 at our three Healthcare Express locations in Texarkana. One is on Arkansas Blvd., another is at Richmond Road, and Wake Village, and each station will host the event, so hopefully, the community will stop at each clinic.”
