The Spirit of Texas African American Museum - Beauty Pageant was a success!
Ch’Tory Buckner participated in the Sr. Miss division. While she wasn’t crowned in here division, Ch’Tory will become a Texas African American Museum Ambassador to continue spreading awareness about the museum and its mission.
Mrs. Gloria Washington and Ms. Dee Pendleton did a superb job of preparing the participants for the event!! I am happy for the newly crowned Queens and am looking forward to working with you, Mrs. Gloria Washington, Ms. Dee Pendleton, and Senior Miss Queen!
One of my only disappointments was public attendance but it was not due to Mrs. Washington promoting the event in the community. Hopefully next year more people will be in attendance to see and learn about what a great job the Texas African American Museum source is in the community and what the workers of the museum do!
