Clarence Edmond Shackelford aka "Shabba" and aka "M1Y", is a publicist, and the founder of Tour Tyler Texas and also the Texas African American Museum both programs are under the auspices of the Empowerment Community Development Corporation, which is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit.
Reggie was born in Tyler, Texas and raised by his parents and God-fearing grandmother. He’s love, and passion, for music was birthed by playing songs on the family organ, which he started playing at the age of two. By the time he was seventeen years old, he was playing full-time in the church.
A choir was started with just a few members, but quickly grew his small group into a large choir. As a successful choir director, Reggie and his group were invited to sign in many venues and churches in the region.
REGGIE THE ARTIST
Reggie is a National Gospel Recording Artist, song writer, keyboardist, choir director, worship leader and minister. His ministry is led by the Holy Spirit through praise and worship, words of knowledge, wisdom, and prophetic speaking.
Minister Reggie is known for ushering in the presence of God through prophetic teaching, bringing a message of joy, hope, love, peace and encouragement. He brings forth a manifestation of healing and deliverance to those that are bound.
PURSUING THE CALL
Reggie, and his wife Lisa, often dreamed of recording a CD together. Through their music ministry, they had the privilege of leading thousands to Christ. They ministered together until Lisa passed away in 1998, after a long battle with Lupus; leaving Reggie to raise their family as a single parent.
Now that his children are young adults, he is actively pursuing the call of God and the ministry. God turned his morning into a new song of joy and hope. Reggie currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his two sons.
MINISTRY VENUES
Reggie has been blessed to minister in churches nationally and internationally. He has ministered at New Birth (Bishop Eddie Long), Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (Bishop Timothy Fleming), and Salem Bible Church (Rev. jasper Williams). Furthermore, he can be regularly seen on the Trinity Broadcast Network as a featured guest artist and respected Psalmist.
RECORDINGS
Reggie released his solo project nationally, which is currently playing at radio stations across the USA. The songs being played include, “I’ve Got Joy,” “My Hope” and “We Wait On You.” He has played a major role in several gospel recording artist’s projects: including such artist as, Jimmy Thomas of the Potter’s House (Bishop T.D. Jakes).
