I have been a community publicist in East Texas since 1985. In this role, I have covered thousands of special events. I am also the founder of Tour Tyler Texas and the Texas African American Museum both programs are under the auspices of the Empowerment Community Development Corporation - Clarence Edmond (Shabba M1Y) Shackelford.
The National Hispanic Month 2022 had the privilege of honoring Pastor Scott Solis with an Excellence In Ministry Award.
Reverend Scott A. Solis, pastor of Freedom Fellowship for 6 years now has been in ministry for more than 20 years. His heart is and always will
be to serve God faithfully through every season. However great the difficulty of ministry; the calling has always sustained him “Humility is the key to a successful ministry”. This is a truth carried by Pastor Scott in everyday life.
Pastor Scott has served faithfully in various capacities. Youth ministry for 12+years, Ministry at Pleasant Hills Children’s Home to teen Boys, Ministry to Inner city kids, Board of trustees for His home church for 8 years, Lead pastoral role for 9yrs, Ministry to various Law Enforcement agencies across the United States and abroad for 7yrs.
He is also promoting positive Male Involvement in Chapel Hill and he is helping our Head Start put on a Male Involvement event he is finding coaches and men to stand in the gap for the kiddos who have no dads. He is faithfully married to his wife Debbie for 22 years old and has 3
children: Jabez Solis age 20, Savannah Solis age 17 and Josiah Solis age 14.
