The premier foundation fundraiser event will honor Judge Quincy Beavers, Jr., on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 Judge Quincy Beavers, Jr. at the Foundation Fundraiser and Appreciation Celebration the event will start at 6:00 pm., at Cascades of Texas Country Club in Tyler. Mr. Beavers has served with compassion, dignity, honor, and integrity.
The mission of the foundation is to provide college scholarships to disadvantaged students who have an interest in attending a Historically Black College University and the premier focus of the fundraiser will be a celebration of Judge Beaver’s judicial career.

- A career in public service and law enforcement spanning over 40 years.
- First African American elected as Justice of the Peace in Smith County, served 28 years.
- Former Chief Warrant Officer.
- Former Deputy Sheriff for Smith County.
- Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable Associations.
- Works within the community to prevent domestic violence.
- Provides guidance & mentoring to local Criminal Justice students.
- Contributes to preventing truancy by mentoring & providing guidance to young people. regarding the importance of completing their education Contributed.
The Honorable Alexis Herman will be the keynote speaker for this event. She is the former Secretary of Labor (1997-2001) under President Bill Clinton’s administration. From 2001 to 2006, Herman was chairwoman of the Coca-cola company's Human Resources Task Force. The following year, Coca-Cola made her a director. Herman served on Toyota's Diversity Advisory Board and in 2006, the company appointed her to head a special task force to ensure the company's compliance with anti-discrimination standards following the resignation of Toyota North America's CEO, after being named the defendant in a sexual harassment lawsuit. Herman served on the boards of other major companies, including Cummins, MGM Resort International, Entergy, and Sodexo, and is the chairman and CEO of New Ventures, Inc.
In 2010, Herman was appointed to the board of the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, a charitable organization founded by Bill Clinton and George W. Bush to aid Haiti following a magnitude 7.0 Mw earthquake in January of that year. Herman has also been involved with civic groups including the National Urban League and the National Epilepsy Foundation. She has been awarded more than 20 honorary doctorate degrees from academic institutions.
Moreover, the world-renowned vocal artist, Wintley Augustus Phipps, Sr. will be the entertainer.

Wintley Augustus Phipps, Sr., is a Trinidadian American singer, songwriter, record producer, and minister, and founder of the United States Dream Academy, Songs of Freedom Publishing Company, and Coral Records Recording Company. He features a booming bass-baritone voice, usually singing inspirational gospel music. He is an ordained Seventh Day Adventist minister.
This will be a celebration worthy of Judge Beavers and will clearly demonstrate the community's gratitude for the dedication Beavers has exhibited in serving the people of Smith County.
