From now until August 31, high school students from 14-19 years old can work out for free at Planet Fitness locations across Clay County when they sign up for the High School Summer Pass.
Planet Fitness is also giving away $200,000 to students who register for the program on the Planet Fitness App. Teens who register and participate in a video contest could win a grant for their high school and students. Students under the age of 18 have to be accompanied by an adult when signing up in person or online.
The High School Summer Pass was created in 2019 and named the Teen Summer Challenge as a means to get more high schoolers in the gym. Less than 15% of teens met the 60 minutes of daily activity during Covid while 93% of teens in America want to stay fit in America, according to the Planet Fitness website.
