By now, you have probably heard that President Joe Biden signed his first veto. What you may not have heard is he called out a Republican after signing the bill.

On March 20, President Biden mentioned the veto that would prevent retirement accounts from investing in ESG funds - Environmental, Social, and Governance.

He said:

“The Department of Labor's final rule protects the hard-earned life savings and pensions of tens of millions of workers and retirees across the country. It allows retirement plan fiduciaries to make fully informed investment decisions by considering all relevant factors that might impact a prospective investment while ensuring that investment decisions made by retirement plan fiduciaries maximize financial returns for retirees.”

Then on Twitter, that when President Biden mentioned the Republican Representative when he tweeted:

“This bill would risk your retirement savings by making it illegal to consider risk factors MAGA House Republicans don’t like. Your plan manager should be able to protect your hard-earned savings — whether Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene likes it or not.”

This is not the first time Biden has mentioned Representative Greene. The two have traded comments back and forth repeatedly. Greene even shouted “Liar!” at President Biden’s recent State of the Union address.

Greene said this after President Biden said some Republicans wanted to cut Social Security and Medicare.

President Biden said:

"Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans — some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset. I am not saying it’s a majority."
"We’re not going to be moved into being threatened to default on the debt if we don’t respond."

In response, Representative Green went to Twitter to share her and the thoughts of other Republicans.
