Last November, Donald Trump announced he was running for President. As he gets started and campaigns, he is also looking for a running mate as his Vice President. The relationship with his former Vice President Pence did not work out and Trump is looking for a new Vice President.

Pence is blaming Trump for the January 6 riot at the Capital.

As Trump continues campaigning for 2024, he is also quietly looking for his running mate. You could say he is using his time on the Apprentice as he searches for the best person to join him.

In a crowd in Florida, President Trump said:

“A lot of people are right now auditioning.”

Trump advisor John Miller said the campaign wants to win the Republican ballot for president. It is likely Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will throw his name in as another candidate for president.

But there is talk that Trump may choose a woman to join him in office. The three candidates that have been mentioned are Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Elise Stefanik of New York, and former Arizona candidate for Arizona Governor news anchor Kari Lake.

Former Trump aide Steve Bannon said:

"This is no shrinking violet. She's ambitious — she's not shy about that, nor should she be."
"She sees herself on the short list for Trump's VP. Paraphrasing Cokie Roberts, when MTG looks in the mirror she sees a potential president smiling back."

Greene has been trying to help out as she spent time helping Representative Kevin McCarthy get elected as Speaker of the House.

"She's both strategic and disciplined — she made a power move, knowing it would run up hard against her most ardent crew. She was prepared to take the intense heat/hatred short-term for the long-term goal of being a player."

Here is some information about Kari Lake as a possible candidate.

Who do you think Donald Trump will choose as his Vice President?
