Kettering Ohio – On Monday, August 16, 2021, the Kettering Ohio Police Department (KPD) released its report of arrests, citations, and summons for the week of August 9, 2021, to August 15, 2021.

Monday, August 9, 2021, saw KPD make five arrests. patrol officers and detectives arrested Quinton T. Dyer, a 23-year-old white male, at 120 Cannonbury Court, #A2, Dayton, OH 45429. The location was part of the Georgetown of Kettering Apartments. Officers arrested Dyer for an outstanding domestic violence and assault warrant.

Officers were also called to the Budget Inn at 2700 S. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45409. Officers found Mathew W. Gunther, a 36-year-old white male, loitering in the parking lot of the Inn. Gunther was trespassed from the property and was taken into custody on a possession of drug abuse instruments warrant from the Dayton Police Department.

Officers were also called to the Budget Inn at 2700 S. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45409. Officers found Mathew W. Gunther, a 36-year-old white male, loitering in the parking lot of the Inn. During a traffic stop near W. Stroop Road and Tait Road, officers arrested a passenger, Ferenc Kratky, a 45-year-old white male, for theft. Just prior to the traffic stop, Kratky had stolen beer from the Shell station and convenience store at 3960 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH 45429 (Far Hill and W. Stroop Road). Officers also cited Joey J. Camden, a 44-year-old white male for Failure to Comply and Obstructing. Kratky was taken into custody, by Camden was released due to medical issues.

Officers stopped a vehicle at Wilmington Pike and E. Dorothy Lange because of registration and moving violations. During the stop, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered leading to the arrest of Ronald D. Knipfer, a 65-year-old white male.

KPD was also called to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office jail to serve a warrant on Thron L. Nash, a 31-year-old black male. The warrant was issued by the Kettering Municipal Court on a charge of Failure to Comply. Nash remains in custody in the Montgomery County Jail for probation violations.

KPD only reported two arrests for Tuesday, August 10, 2021. During a traffic stop in the parking lot of Capri Bowling Lanes, 2727 S. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45409 KPD arrested a 15-year-old black female for a felony theft warrant from the Montgomery County Juvenile Court. KPD did not identify the arrestee because of her age.

Llovely M.A. Davis, a 31-year-old black female was arrested during a second traffic stop near W. Stroop Road and S. Dixie Dr. The traffic stop was initiated because of a registration violation. Davis was a passenger in the vehicle. Officers discovered that Davis had an outstanding traffic warrant from Montgomery County. Davis was transported to the Montgomery County Jail after arrest. Davis was not held because the jail refused to take custody because of medical issues. Davis was taken to the Miami Valley Hospital and released.

Wednesday, August 11, 2021, saw 7 individuals arrested in Kettering. Jeremiah Lyons, a 35-year-old white male. Was arrested for violating a no-contact order, possession of drug abuse instruments, and a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office warrant. Lyons was arrested after officers were dispatched to 114 Norton Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 due to a domestic dispute. Lyons was held at the Montgomery County Jail without bond on a probation violation and drug possession charge.

Following a report of an intoxicated man in the 100 block of Carrlands Ave, Douglas Wagner, a 31-year-old white male, was arrested. Wagner was described as “highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself”. Wagner refused medical treatment and was arrested at 201 Carrlands Dr., Dayton, OH 45429 for disorderly conduct.

KPD received a report of a drug overdose at 1315 Devon Ave., Apartment #B3, Dayton, OH 45429. Following an investigation, a summons was issued to Aron T. Jones, a 40-year-old white male, for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kettering Municipal Courts had issued warrants for the arrest of Nicholas Limehouse, a 24-year-old black male. Limehouse was charged with domestic violence and assault. Limehouse turned himself in at the KPD lobby.

KPD officers pulled over John L. Sullivan, a 54-year-old black male for a vehicle equipment violation. The traffic stop occurred near the intersection of W. Dorothy Lane and S. Dixie Dr. Sullivan was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation on an original charge of possessing cocaine. In addition, passenger Laquisha N. Anderson, a 32-year-old black female was also arrested on a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office failure to appear warrant in a traffic case.

Officers also pulled a vehicle over near W. Dorothy Lane and S. Dixie Dr. because they believed a vehicle occupant had an outstanding warrant. Jacquaisha D. Evans, a 19-year-old black female was arrested for a warrant out of Trotwood. Evans was charged with failing to appear on a disorderly conduct charge.

Thursday, August 12, 2021, saw five individuals charged with crimes in Kettering. Officers pulled over a vehicle at SpringHill Ave. and S. Dixie Hwy for a moving violation. The driver, Michael James Avery, a 26-year-old white male was arrested. Avery was taken into custody on a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office warrant for a probation violation, and a Moraine Police Department warrant for failing to appear on a theft charge.

Steven Moreland, a 38-year-old black male, was pulled over for a moving violation. Moreland was pulled over in the parking lot of El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant at 1450 W. Dorothy Lange, Dayton, OH 45409. Moreland was arrested for driving with a suspended license and a traffic warrant issued by the Dayton Police Department.

During a traffic stop near Shroyer Road and East Avenue, Alex L. Jamison Smith, a 46-year-old black male was arrested for possession of cocaine. Smith was taken into custody, and at the Kettering Police Department Jail, it was discovered that he had concealed drugs within his person. Smith was also charged with Illegal Conveyance for the drugs found in him at the jail.

One individual was issued a citation and two peopled were issued a summons during a traffic stop near Kettering Blvd and Southtown Blvd. The traffic stop was made because of a vehicle equipment violation. Thomas J. Perry, a 34-year-old white male was cited for driving with a suspended license, and a vehicle equipment violation. Perry was also issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia. Bridgette M. Keller, a 26-year-old white female, was issued a summons for possession of drug abuse instruments.

On Friday, August 13, 20201, KPD responded to 3930 Parliament Place, Kettering, OH 45429 where a 71-year-old white male was found deceased. The deceased man has not been identified. Investigators do not suspect any foul play as the decedent was known to have had several medical issues.

Officers also responded to a family dispute. An unidentified juvenile was initially arrested for assaulting his mother. During the investigation, officers learned that the juvenile had made suicidal threats and homicidal threats against family members. The juvenile was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. We have not identified the location of this incident to protect the identity of the juvenile.

Friday also saw the arrest of Rebekah L. Moore, a 28-year-old white female, and Jon J. Feltz, a 50-year-old white male. Feltz and Moore were arrested on charges of felony drug possession and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop and 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering, OH 45420. More was also taken into custody on two outstanding felony warrants.

On Saturday, August 14, 2021, KPD issued three summonses. During a traffic stop at S. Dixie Dr. and Governors Place, Deleon A. Benson, a 30-year-old black male was issued a summons for an open container of liquor in the vehicle. Benson was also issued multiple traffic citations.

Officers also responded to a call regarding a possible structure fire and 1542 Bowman, Dayton, OH 45409. Upon arrival officers did not find any structure fire. Samantha L. Dunlap, a 31-year-old white female was issued a summons for making false alarms.

Isaiah D. Freeman, a 25-year-old was stopped and issued several traffic citations at S. Dixie Dr. and Mayo Ave. Freeman for possession of drug abuse instruments.

On Sunday, August 15, 2021, KPD made three arrests. The Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center issued a warrant for the arrest of an unruly runaway juvenile. The youth was located on Moler Ave. in Kettering and arrested. KPD transported the juvenile to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center for transport to Hamilton County.

Davita Chambers, a 39-year-old black female was arrested on a Huber Heights Police Department theft warrant. Chambers was arrested following a traffic stop for moving violations. The traffic stop occurred in the Subway parking lot at 1689 W. Dorothy Lane.

During a traffic stop at Crescent Blvd. and Old Lane Ave., Dominique D. Cobbins, a 26-year-old black female, was arrested on an undisclosed warrant.

Officers also responded to a disturbance at Buffalo Wild Wings at 262 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429. Officers issued a summons to Robert J. Winblad, a 26-year-old white male, for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Finally, during a traffic stop at S. Patterson Blvd. and W. Schantz Ave., KPD Officers issued a summons to Timoty R. Stallard, a 51-year-old white male, for having an open container in the vehicle.
